Passwell Hand Rearing Food is a high-protein, nutritionally balanced formula for hand-raising all types of young birds — parrots, finches, pigeons and doves — supporting healthy growth from hatching right through to weaning.

Designed to meet the unique nutritional needs of young birds, giving hand-reared chicks the best possible start in life.

Feeding guide
  • Mix powder with pre-boiled warm water at approximately 50°C; allow to stand for one minute, then remix
  • Feed at 38-40°C using a spoon, syringe, or crop tube
  • Feed until crop feels comfortably full — typically about 10% of body weight per feeding

Allow the crop to empty completely at least once daily through an overnight fasting period. Manufacturer's site includes a detailed mixing chart by species/age not fully reproduced here.

Also contains Protexin® Soluble probiotic, Natuzyme® multi-enzyme, and Actigen® dried yeast prebiotic.

How to introduce

Even the tastiest new food deserves a gentle introduction. Blend it with your pet’s current food over 7–10 days, gradually increasing the new and easing off the old. Cats and sensitive tummies often appreciate an extra week or two — and if anything seems off, slow things down and check in with your vet.
