Wombaroo Insectivore Rearing Mix is a comprehensive, nutritionally balanced food for rearing and supplementing the diets of insectivorous and carnivorous birds, which require a high protein intake. One versatile powder covers everything from hand-rearing chicks to boosting meat, fish and egg diets.

Complete food for insectivores: provides all the nutrients needed for optimal growth and health of insectivorous and carnivorous birds.
High in protein: essential for species that need a protein-rich diet.
Versatile usage: supplements protein, vitamins and minerals in meat, fish and egg diets.
Multiple feeding forms: mix with water to create soft pellets or a liquid slurry for hand-rearing or assist feeding.
No extra supplements needed: avoids the nutrient imbalances that can come from adding vitamin, mineral or concentrated food supplements.

Feeding guide

Meat Mix: mix 10g (1 level scoop) of powder with 20g of minced meat or fish
Egg Mix: mix 20g (2 level scoops) of powder with 1 large hard-boiled egg, mashed
Moist Pellets: mix 10g (2 level scoops) of powder with 12mL of warm water to a putty-like consistency and roll into pellets
Liquid Slurry: mix 10g (1 level scoop) of powder with 15mL of warm water, let stand 2 minutes to absorb, feed at about 30°C
Raptors & Seabirds: stuff 10g (1 level scoop) of powder per 100g of whole fish, rodent or day old chick

Prepared food can be refrigerated for a day or frozen for up to 2 weeks.

How to introduce

Even the tastiest new food deserves a gentle introduction. Blend it with your pet’s current food over 7–10 days, gradually increasing the new and easing off the old. Cats and sensitive tummies often appreciate an extra week or two — and if anything seems off, slow things down and check in with your vet.
